Ribbon Decanter, 1.4 L

A single band of glass looped once and closed on itself, with a short neck where the two ends cross. The loop is hollow the whole way round, so the wine travels a complete circuit before it settles — you can watch it go, which is most of the appeal.

Of the three coiled shapes this is the easiest to use. The loop is wide enough to take a hand through, it drains from one point, and at 1.4 L it takes a bottle and a half without looking half empty. If you want one coiled piece and only one, buy this rather than the Helix.
