Petal Decanter, 1.2 L

Four soft lobes overlapping like a bud about to open, drawing together into a short narrow neck. The lobes are blown in one piece rather than joined; where they meet, the glass thickens and the wine shows as four distinct columns of colour.

The narrow neck makes it slower than the Meridian and steadier than the Feather. At 1.2 L it takes a bottle and leaves a hand's width of air, which is about right for most reds. It is the piece people pick up to look at, so expect fingerprints.
