Plume Decanter, 1.7 L

The shape most people picture when they hear the word decanter, done properly. A wide round belly sitting flat on the table, a slim neck rising from the centre and angling forward into a drawn lip. Nothing clever, just a large surface of wine under a narrow opening.

At 1.7 L it takes two bottles, which makes it the one to use when there are more than four of you. The wide base is also the most stable thing we make — if you are nervous about hand-blown glass on a table with children at it, start here.
