Wing Carafe, 0.85 L

A compact carafe: wide at the shoulder, sloping down to a small flat base, finished with a short collared neck and a wide polished lip. It holds a single bottle with nothing to spare, which is the point — a full bottle in a 1.5 L decanter looks like a mistake.

This is the piece to use for two people on a weeknight, or for a white wine you want to bring up from fridge temperature without it warming across a whole evening. It is also the only one small enough to live on a shelf rather than in a cupboard.
